Firestone 3.6 Outboard Motor : Where do I find Decals?
Hi,
I'm new here and it looks like a great info filled place.
I'm looking for some good pictures of the 1950s Firestone 3.6 Outboard Motor By Scott Atwater or a brochure or something, and can't seem to find any. I'm fixing one up and I want to reproduce the decals. Any help you may give will be appreciated.

You're on the right track. When you finish your decal replication, you can print it on water-slide decal paper (available online, including Schmebay), seal it, apply it, and clear coat it (use UV-resistant clear coat), OR you can find a good local graphics shop...like a place that does signs, etc., and have them make your decal set on vinyl. Much easier to apply and much more durable...cost is generally under $50...depends on how much vinyl is used. Keep watching the auction site...a decent photo will eventually show up there. When you paint it, remember to use a self-etching primer under the top coat...otherwise all your paint will just slake off after some time in the water.
