Eska (Ted Williams) 5hp coil resistance

Does anybody know what resistance should be on the primary side of this coil? It is a Tecumseh 2-stroke air cooled engine.Thanks in advance,mike

I too, am looking for some similar information on this coil. I have a Tecumseh/ Eska/Ted Williams 7.5 h.p. outboard but I'm sure it uses the same coil.

Hi, You keep replying to old messages, some of them more than 2 years old. Odds are that the person who posted isn't even here any longer.

When you find a message, look at the date on which it was posted. If it's long in the past, it's a waste of time to add to it.

We're trying to help you with your coil problem, and there have been some good posts on the subject. It's not an easy quest. As I said in another thread, try to find a broken motor the same as yours for parts. That's your best shot. You might also contact tcoutboard.com. They have a bunch of those 7.5 hp motors in their boneyard and sell parts from them.
