74 4.5 HP ted williams

Hi all!
I have a 74 4.5 ted wialliams. Model #217.59464. Is there a Hi spd adjustment on the carb on this thing? Only adjust I can find is low spd. Does not want to idle, and I did remove carb and cleaned it. the side membrane flapper valve & gasket look good( fuel pump?) Also does anyone know why gas comes out exhaust when it runs? Thanks in advance for any help. John

No theres no high speed adjustment, this is a emissions type carb with a factory set power jet in the fuel bowl nut,
also it sounds like the fuel pump bladder may have a split in it or it may be installed wrong,

you need the Tecumseh engine/carb manual

Thankyou for the quick comeback. I think I will order the complete fuel pump repair kit. If that is the problem, do you think that will help the gas coming out the exhaust? Have a great day John

Any idea what my Ted Williams 4.5 hp is worth? I do not know year or Model #.

Tim it really is a condition and year thing with the Eska built outboard's, $50-150 is ball park craigs list price around here.
