Yamaha stern drive oil filter

Please, help, help, help, I can't find the right oil filter for my 5.0 yamaha stern drive. It had an aqua power 6007 in it, but when I cross the number I get one with much to big center ring. I don't know where else to look, no one has even heard of a yamaha stern drive.Thanks for your helpStevePS: is Capt. Ken still on here?

Well they didn't make your set up long,but if you have a 5 liter GM engine,and I beleive you do,and the oil filter screws onto the block,any OMC,Bombardier,Mercruiser dealer should be able to help you.If the filter screws onto a remote mount,I don't know.Also try Yamaha-motor.com.DHP

If its the standard EST model with the filter under the engine, use a Fram PH 30. If its the remote model, I think its the PH8A but would have to check my books tomorrow to be sure.

Thanks Capt. It is the remote model. I was hoping that you were still coming here. I do have another question that I'm sure that you can answer. I have a 5.0 and the circulating pump is going bad. Can I use after market, or am I stuck trying to find a yamaha one?Thanks again for your helpSteve

Personally I would like you to call me and I'll sell you one for a butt load of money. But you caught me on a good day, use a regular marine after market one.
