5.0 gm omc to fuel injection

i want to know if i can convert my omc 5.0 carb motor to a fuel injection motor??? or can i just go to the junk yard a rip all the fuel injection stuff and just add it to my motor???

I would not, you are going to use automotive stuff on an engine that should have a marine system. They do make aftermarket marine FI systems but the cost and complexity make it not worth it to me. And if you run into trouble, then what? A carb engine can be fixed by any decent marine mechanic. Stick with what it came with, (Rochester Q-Jet) or you can go with an Edelbrock Marine carb...

so even the new boats still do carbs???

No they use FI but these systems are complex and costly, a good rebuilt carb is the way to go on an older boat, cheaper and not more trouble in the long run...
