    Default 1981 Mercury 50hp

    Hello! I am trying to find out the specifications for my old 50hp Mercury. I cannot locate the serial number anywhere on the motor. Specifically, I wish to know the dry weight of this engine.

    Darn! If thats true then that would rule out a new 60hp Etec as a replacement as it would add 60 pounds to the transom. Any suggestions regarding other repower options?
