    Default Timing on Mercury 90 hp

    early 80sI replaced the crankshaft and pput motor back together however I need to set timing but dont know how. Not even sure crank and flywheel are even in the same position as before. Any help would be appreciated.

    Max advance is 21 degrees. Use the #1 cylinder and a pencil to make sure the flywheel is properly indexed.If this does not make sence - get professional help.-W

    By removing the flywheel there should be a key slot.. If you did not remove the key the timing should be the same.. However if you want the timing #s give the year..
