timing mercury?

guys, now that the bighammer manuals are gone, I was hoping someone could tell me the marks for a 1998 merc, 115hp. The primary and max? I think the primary was like 0-4deg BTC, but not sure?can anyone help me?cheers

Tengals, I guess everyone crapped out on this one, The newest manual I have is for 1995, but here are the specs I don't know if they will help you or notMax spark = 22 deg at cranking speed 20 at 3000Idle timing = 4 deg ATDC to 2 deg BTDC

For the 96,97 and 98 models the timing is 25 BTDC at cranking(23 BTDC at 3000 RPM's).

thanks guys. Laddies, I think the idle timing sounds about right. The max spark has not moved, it's the idle timing that im concerned about. With that 6deg variance what would be the differnce between 2 deg atdc and 4 btdc? = meaning, how do i pick my spot?cheers
