I put a new throttle and shift cable on my boat and now it wont return to idle from WOT. The motor is a 96 mariner 125 on a 94 hewes seacraft. I double checked the length of the old cable against the new and they were the same. When I cycle the throttle controls it goes to WOT but when i drop it back down it doesn't go to idle. I have to push the lever by hand to get it to return to idle. I adjusted the cable to full length so it cant get any longer and the cable still seems to be too short to let it return on its own(using throttle control). It does go if i push it but not on its own, any idea's?
