(re)-starting problem...
So here we were last weekend enjoying a nice little outing on the lake, when we stopped for a rest and to enjoy some scenery.
Went to re-start, and ppffft... naada. Lights still OK, bilge pump ok, but trim and motor dead. as if there was no power anywhere at all.
Got a hitch with some friends, put the boat back on the lift, and thought I'd give 'er another try. Ziinngg! Started as if normal.
anyone have any possible clues on this one?
merc 90 outboard, late 80s vintage, Quicksilver control unit. Brand new battery, first time out with it, all connections tight.
Alsmot had to let it 'rest' before starting again.

Check/clean battery cable connections. Inspect battery cables for corrosion under the insulation. if you see a bulge under the insulation, suspect corrosion.
