    Default Proper Gas/Oil mixture for Mercury 35hp

    Hello,Once again I need your assistance with this 1985 Mercury 35hp outboard. I don't have an owners manual yet and don't know the correct gas/oil mixture ratio. How much oil to each litre of gas should I use with this motor?Also, should I use a higher octane level than just regular unleaded gasoline?Thanks again,Bill

    Hello Bill, If you can convert gallons to litres on this topic,you should have no problem.Your Mercury 35 use's a 50:1 mixture.One (US)pint oil to 6 gallons gas.Regular 86 octane is fine for your motor...
