Default Ok found some rust on spark plugs what does this mean?

Its on a 96 75hp force made by mercury. Did a comp test and at cold 107,105,105 so do I need a new head gasket? Why else could there be rust a water leaking in somehow. I fogged the engine but would like to solve this puppy. Also my Generic manual is vague does not give Compression #s. I did notice that hardly any water was coming out the pee hole. And yes I have replaced the impeller.

Also, was it on one plug, or all plugs?....Your compression is A-ok as long as it's above 100 psi with engine warm... Whats more important is that all your cylinders are within a few Lbs. of each other, which they are....

When was the last time this engine was run? It may just be condensation.

Maybe you are describing what you see incorrectly (hopefully anyway). If all the plugs have the same appearance, are you describing the plugs as rusted b/c they are brown/orange colored and have a thin sooty appearance? Take a look below. This was from a champion dodge truck website concerning fuel additives in gasoline causing this appearance. Are your plugs similar? I don't know if this would ocur in a two stroke but I am sure these guys could confirm it. Maybe I am just wishful thinking for you, but check it out. Good luck

My old 1987 85hp Force used the same plugs, Champion UL18V I do not know if they are correct for your 96 but my guess would be yes. That is the way they are supposed look where was the rust on the plug? how much rust? and on how many plugs?

My new fishmaster,Just to clear a minor point up for you, your plugs do have electrodes, the spark across from that "round thingy" (quote) to the outside circumferance of the plugs, in relation to the main problem, same questions as before, where? and on how many?
