    Default Mercury Prop torque??

    I have a 1995 Mercury 40 hp can anyone tell me the proper torque sprcification for the prop nut

    Place all related prop parts when assembling. Adjust prop nut with fingers untill very tight, try to pass split pin through upper nut cut and prop shaft hole, if mission impossible, turn nut CW some degrees untill you can pass the pin through.
