Mercury outboard 8 HP ignition problem

I recently aquired a 8 HP mercury motor that has no fire whatsoever. According to the serial number tag it is a 1996 model. Can anyone tell me if this model is supposed to have a switch box? I pulled the flywheel to look things over. The flywheel magnets appear to be OK. There are two pickup coils under the flywheel right next to each other. One is about half the size of the other and between the two of them there are 3 wires. Then there is another unit under the flywheel that is fully insulated that has two wires coming out of it. I guess this would be a trigger of some sort. Then there are two ignition coils out side of the flywheel of which only one is grounded. I cannot see a switch box anywhere. Is there supposed to be one???

Your engine don' have a switch box that function is built in the coils, actually they are CDMs and that what the system is called here's at test for the system.
