    Default Mercury 7.5 HP Thunderbolt Ignition starting problem

    I was just given a Mercury 7.5 hp Thunderbolt Ignition outboard- (not sure of the year.) The first day I had it I started it right up and all worked great. The next day it would not start. I changed the old gas, but still no luck. Now I can get it to start, but only when in gear and at full throttle. If I let up on the throttle, it dies. Any ideas? Also, I'm using a 50:1 mix- is that right for this motor?
