    Default mercury 225 efi 4 stoke leaking oil down the drive shaft

    Has any one had the problem with oil leaking down the drive shaft of the mercury 225 efi 4 stroke? This motor has a Yamaha powerhead.

    The Mercury 225 EFI 4 Stroke that I has has this problem with the oil Leak. I took it to the dealer and it took 51/2 months to tell me it was leaking from the oil pump. So they change the pump. Took the boat out one time and it leaked worse this time. back at the dealer again. Looking to find owners of the same motor that have had the same problem and the fix.

    If not the oil pump, probably one of these seals.

    DO YOU HAVE: GOOD COMPRESSION, PROPERLY TIMED SPARK, PROPER FUEL AIR MIXTURE?
