    You need to post a serial# to identify the motor.Hp/serial#/model etc.
    They made a few carbs and without knowing what were looking at we'd be using the WAG system.

    If you look up the motor serial number at maxrules.com, it will give you the year. The year and HP will allow you to look up any part at crowleymarine.com. Carb rebuild kits are determined by year and HP and are avail a lot of places.

    Paul;

    I see from your previous that you have an 88 135.

    Even if yours is an Australian s/n, you will see from this list, kits which are applicable to the WH 35, 6452/7824 and 7826

    WH 35
    Merc/Mariner 135
    Main jets .050"
    Idle Jets .060"
    Vent Jets .094"

    Should be late enough to have the hard plastic floats in em. That's good.
    1395-6452 GASKET AND PACKING SET $7.30
    1395-7826 REPAIR PARTS KIT (WH-32)(WH-35)(WH-38) $104.12
    27-904301 GASKET, CARBURETOR $1.40

    I'd get the packing kits and base gaskets. Usually there's nothing wrong with them except failed gaskets, dirt in the needles, etc. If you need a needle and seat, you can buy it separately, and if you need a float, yer in for a search. Usually wind up buying used carbs on eBay to get them. Goods news is the hard plastic floats seldom fail. Pay real close attention to all the small gaskets, like under the input seat, and the center bowl gasket. Bowl screws need to be torqued real even.

    hope it helps

    Thanks John,I know these floats are very hard to find,though I'm hoping it's just a stuffed needle n seat.Update on carbs will be on my other thread.

    My s/n is OB348094 and has USA stamped on plate.Was told 1990 when I bought it,but pretty sure it's 1988 V6 135Hp.Top carb has 0558 stamped before 35 1a and the other 2 have 0548 stamped.Does that mean an odd carb was used *** replacement?

    Paul;

    Still comes up as a 1988:

    135 V-135 V6 0B241881 0C100860 1988 USA

    From here:

    http://www.marinshopen.se/Motorer/Om...0/Default.aspx

    It is a model:

    1135412BD MERCURY 1988 135

    Parts Listing:

    http://www.crowleymarine.com/mercury-outboard/299.cfm

    Service Manual: 90-976583

    No matter what the casting numbers the 35 per your first post identifies them as WH35 carbs.
