I have an 8 HP 2-stroke Mercury outboard engine from 2001. When trying to start, no sparks at both plugs. Plugs are good en wiring checked okay. Can anyone tell me how much the resistance of the stator (below the flywheel) needs to be?

First unplug the kill switches from the system and check for fire

I've checked my leads, but the wires coming from the stator below the flywheel have the colours green/white and white/green. When measuring the resistance, i put my AVO on 2000k, and the value is 2500 Megaohm and intermittend no resistance at all between the two wires (red on white/green and black on green/white and the other way round). I know this is very high but wondering if they havent put a condensator or diodes in the circuit.
Do you have a electrical schematic of any kind?
I gave you specs for a earlier stator here's for the one that matches your wiring.
