hello again. It's been since april 21st that I posted my problem.
Thanks go to j_martin and others for helping me find my trouble. To re-cap, for those who weren't aware, my 150 horse xr6 would start and run good until I shut down for a half hour or so. When I wanted to start again it had lost its prime. I thought it was a fuel pump problem so I put in a new rebuild kit. The problem was still there. Next, I was reading other threads and there was something said about a gray colored fuel line that was creating problems. I had the gray gas hose so I replaced it and for curiosity I cut thru it and it was terriably deteriorated and full of plastic scales. The problem was still there. Next, was a new primer bulb. Still the problem was there. Finaly... I think I found what it is. My fault. I read the instructions for the rebuild kit and it said something about old rubber style valves were not as good as the new plastic ones. I thought they were refering to the rubber disc under the valves... so... I did not put them back in when I installed the rebuild kit. . Well,, I'm laughing at my own ooops.
Milford lake has been flooded since Memorial day so haven't been able to launch my boat to see for sure. Thanks again for all the assistance.
