    Default 4 or 3 blade prop and what pitch

    looking to get a new prop for my 115 1978 mercury.I have a 3 blade 19 pitch now but thinking of going to a 4 blade and higher pitch prop just looking for best all around perfomance, any info or recommendations would be greatlly appreciated. THANKS

    luv2, You will need to provide WOT RPM information and a description for your current setup, and your thoughts on hole shot performance, before we can recommend a change in prop.

    "Hole shot" is the period of accelleration that gets a boat on plane, Clem. It is also sometimes called "Climbing out of the hole".
