the motor at 4000+ rpms will shut down, alarm sounds and restart in 2 seconds and it will do this every 4 or 5 minutes during its worst case. Last count was 17 times. Water stream is warm, new thermostate was just put in. Does not do this at the dock (so far) when I run it for 20 minutes. It is on a chrest pontoon and the problem may be the water flow around the bottom of the motor, underway? Crest has a adjustable motor mount small pontoon in the center which can be moved up and down to accomodate the weight of the motor and its required position. The dealer had a real hard time getting this right over 5 tries - it became a submarine. I am trying to put in a temp gauge using the brown sending wire, but it appears that this current sender is only setup to signal the alarm buzzer and not run a temp gauge? Seem the key to this would be to get a reading on the temp underway and sitting at the dock? Anyone know about the senders or crest pontoon boats?
Thanks
