    Unhappy 2001 Mercury 90 HP Outboard, Throttle Cam Assembly Rod

    Is anyone willing to provide guidance regarding the diagnosis, and hopefully the repair of my throttle assembly that malfunctioned under the cowl of the subject outboard while cruising the lake last weekend.

    It appears the throttle cam rod may have just popped out of the throttle lever. I'm not sure if the throttle cam spring behind the throttle cam is in the correct position either.
