1997 15hp mercury sea pro went overboard, cutting out.
Long story short. My 1997 15hp Mercury sea pro went overboard in salt water. I took out the Spark Plugs and pickled the cylnders, , took apart and cleaned the Carburator, The reed, the pull start drum and the EI connections. Cleaned and WD40. Put it back together and it starts but will only run (Fine) for about 30 seconds or a minute at the most and then dies again. A few pulls later it starts again and repeats.
What should I do to make this run consistent?
Thanks

It was a combination of the carburetors internal fuel pump diaphragm being encrusted in salt and the fuel bowls needle being stuck open flooding the carb.
