1992 Mercury 150 HP Motor Locked Down

The oil injector line broke on the enginethe alarm went off, repaired the hose.Went trolling for about 45 minutes, got ready to leave. Took off and got full throttle, no alarm went of but motor shut off.Motor started up right after cutting off and then shut off again after speeding up to full throttle and never started up again.A fuel hose busted but the motor will not turn over.Could it be vapor locked?

Dang bruce, That could be beaucoup bad juju.First thing to do is remove plugs and record what plug went where. Next get a good magnifing glass and examine plugs. See any little-bitty shiney "dropletts" of aluminum? Next try to turn over with flywheel nut. If you can turn engine, get pistons to TDC and shine a light into sparkplug holes. Sounds like it's siezed fromm lack of lubrication..... must have had air in the lines instead of oil

hooty, I pulled the plugs. I found metal on plug number 1 and looking in the spark plug hole,I saw a loose piece of metal in the number 1 cylinder. There were no metal flakes on any other plug. Let me know what you think.
