1990 Mercury Force - Been sitting for several years

Hey guys...Getting ready to possibly purchase a mercury force 150 that has been sitting for a couple years w/ no use. Owner says the hour meter says it only has 24 hours on it.Any redflags to watch for?I've been told I would definately need to have carbs rebuilt and possibly rings replaced. What do you think? Thanks for any guidance!Joe

You may want to ask over in the Chrysler/Force section. Those engines are out of production, the guys over there would have more information on parts availability and idiocyncracies.
