1989 mercury missing at idol and when giving throttle,discusting just got it back

just got my 1989 mercury 150 out of shop put it in water and it missess and will not get nowhere close to the speed it is suppose to shop said oh yeh its ready running good come get it.im so discusted im thinking of selling it.dont know why its doing this.shop put new bowl on bottom carb and new impeller and gear oil and i get it back like this. it has new plugs and wires,wasnt doing this before.any ideas that wont cost me another 150.00 trip to shop?thnks only my second boat

With the motor on muffs use a timming light and check the plugs and wires to see if one or more are not fireing. Hook the light to battery and move the light pickup from one plug wire to the next and see if they all light the timming light. Just because the wires and plugs are new dose not mean they are good. If the light will not light on one or more plugs take the motor back to the shop and have them fix and replace the bad plug or wire. JMO

thnks oldman for reply i found an old school boat guy a mile from home to help me ill let ya know how it turns out.this has drove me crazy all weekend

well i just got a call from the ol school mechanic i found by my home.he said that comp,is 130 on the cylinders and firing.the problem was when the other shop done the carb work he did not sync the carbs up so it would not run.boat it done and running great.thnks oldman for the help and great forum here have learned alot since reading these post
