1980 80 HP Mercury - Uh Oh

Shaft that the tilt/trim cylinder shafts bolt to has rusted off on one end...causing the cylinder to break free from the shaft. Anyone know where I can get a parts list for this, and how likely is it that I can get the old shaft out? Thanks!

That is the shaft that is captive by the triple clamp? I have heard that they are removeable, but at what cost? Your best bet is to get a used triple clamp from a junkyard.

Thanks Chris...mine is a half-shaft, that has a 1/2" fine thread bold through the end of the cylinder shaft...into the shaft that's frozen in the frame. The half shaft was originally locked in with a 1/4" bolt on the inner end...but now it's held in by corrosion...and it's NOT coming out. Looks like a big job ahead.
