    Default 1978 mercury 900 ? serail number

    I can't seem to find the serail number location for this motor. looked on the block and found a place that said serail number but the numbers don't' seem right 3536.
    I need to carb carb kits but they want serail serail number, anyway looks like i will end up ordering more parts so I really need to know how to find it.

    Mine is stamped on the engine on the starboard side. There is also a plate on the Pivot arm? facing the transom.

    Look on the transom mount swivel on the front.
