    Default 1965 Merc 900 water pump replacement

    Does anyone have a link to a write up on this? I've got the water pump off, but I'm having trouble getting the aluminum plate below the water pump off so I can replace the drive shaft oil seal.

    Lower-Unitsdriveshaft.jpg Are you talking about Part 18 in the diagram?
    There might be a FLUSH plug that screws into the side of the casing, this has to be removed to allow the pump body to be removed.
    When or not this is out you use 2 screwdrivers to pry up the pump.
