    Default 07 Mercury Optimax 150xl to long shaft

    Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change a mercury optimax 150 from a extra long shaft to a long shaft. And if so does this void the warranty?

    Yes it can be done but its expensive as you will need the driveshaft housing, driveshaft and labor. Wouldnt think it would void any warranty if done by a Merc dealer. It would likey be cheaper to install a jack plate and raise engine.
    When in doubt,Trim it out!!!
