Hi all.....I have a 1990 alpha 1 gen 1 and while replacing bellows I noticed the plastic water inlet tube that is at the top of the gimbal has a kink and should be replaced....problem is I cant find one, not sure if the part has many different names or?...any help would be great, also is it a pain to replace? looks like there are 2 bolts on the inside that hold a plate and thats it?
It's a Mercruiser OEM item only, and not an aftermarket part. Item #27 HERE
Yes, they are a real pain to replace. You have to remove the drive, the bellhousing and bellows from the gimbal housing to even get to it.
