Default Steering-I/O-Hyd. leak at the transom

On a 1991 220ov Sea Ray. Rack & Pinion at the helm. I have a Hydraulic Leak from the unit at the transom.
How doable is it to replace the seals in the unit, or should I bite the bullet and replace the unit? Either way, is bleeding the unit necessary after replacing the unit?
    Appreciate any help.
    John

Yea. What are talking about here? If you have rack/pinion steering you probably don't have power steering or even hydraulic. So is the leak from the tilt/trim? Pictures, pictures, pictures, SN & Model.

Rack & Pinion steering systems are used quite often with power steering on all kinds of IO's.

The Boat is a 1991 220ov (mod.) Sea Ray.
The Boat has an inboard/Outboard Drive.
The Boat has Rack & Pinion steering at the helm.
The Boat has a push/pull cable to the transom.
The Boat has hydraulic power assisted steering.
The hydraulic unit that moves the i/o drive is leaking hydraulic oil.
    Question:
Is replacing seals ("O" Rings, Quad rings, what ever)The besat way to go?
    or
Is it better to change the hydraulc unit, if one can be found for a 1991 boat?
Which ever I do will the unit have to be blead?
    Now, I would appreciate help.
    Thank you.
