Default Removing Mercontroller Housing from 1975 Bayliner

I've removed the handle and the three screws that attach the black coupler to the housing. The black coupler will not come off...am I missing a set-screw or something? I don't want to force it unless I'm sure it's ready to come off....

    Thanks in advance!
