OMC Flushing Adapter Kit
I have seen these adapters once or twice before. They are listed for drives later (78,79,81,84,85) than my own (75-76)and have heard from folks on this board that it may not make a difference and they will work. Below is the adapter and my Black Boat Anchor want to be Trunion Cap.

Re: OMC Flushing Adapter Kit
I had one of those types on a 75 drive. Can't say if that exact one fits both the electric shift drive or the mechanical shift ones though.

Oh yee of such little faith. IT FITS!!
If you reach into the back side of the trunion cap, you will notice that it is hollow, both at the top and the bottom. The squared corners of that end cap flush adaptor will fit into those recesses.
The bolt pattern is identical to what you have.

Re: OMC Flushing Adapter Kit
If the Boom says so, then my faith is restored! Does it do a better job as the one in the bottom of Rudder or is it just more convenient?

The mickey mouse ears are a PITA. The attachment above gives positive flooding both below for the pump and above for the engine.
