Default Mercruiser 4cyl rear motor mount

The rubber inside of the my motor mount came out with the bolt. The manual says mounts are 'pressed in' but nothing else. Found replacements. The design implies pressed in from top down. One exploded view suggested installed from bottom up(?)
Any suggestions on how to press out? I considered a socket arrangement tightening a thru bolt. Replies much appreciated

They are pressed out/ burned out from the top down, installed from the bottom up.
The inner ring spacer is removed at the same time , a new one comes in the kit.

burned out huh? as in torch cutting metal? There appears to be about a quarter inch spacer in the top. Does that come out too?

closer to 3/16ths, spacer comes out at the same time. The thin inner shell of the bushing sometimes is a bit corroded in the housing. I burn out most of the remaining rubber along with the center piece , from the top supporting the housing , use a socket to drive it out. If its really stubborn, I pry the inner shell out with a screwdriver and then remove the inner ring.I made this to install the new ones without having to drive or press them in place.

Thanks Bt worked out great. replaced both and fully and evenly seated using socket, block of hardwood and cclamp. Have a driveshaft from my old outdrive upper unit that I hope to use as alignment tool after remounting transom housing..
