Mercruiser 1997 dual prop

Hello. I am trying to identify my outdrive. My boat is a 1997 Cruiser brand 31ft with a 7.4 big block and my out drive has dual props. A chain wrapped around my out drive and i think stripped my gears so i am a do it your selfer but i cant identify my out drive. I know it is a mercruiser and thats it. Any help?

You're also in the wrong forum,... This 1 is for Props.... as in how/ which prop to buy...

If you head up to the Adults Only sticky, you will find some manual downloads for Mercruiser. Download manual #11 and check out the procedures for replacing gears and bearings on a Bravo III. Probably more than you have tools for.

Make sure it's the outdrive that stripped. It probably was with a chain wrapped around it, but if you were REAL REAL lucky it might have stripped out the engine coupler instead of the drive.
