    Default leaking gear lube externally

    I just replaced the water pump assembly now it is leaking gear lube out around the shift shaft assembly externally. I put about 40 ounces of lube in it is that normal?

    Ayuh,...Did you put the quad-ring inplace,..??
    Any Grease is Better,..... Than No Grease at All.......

    yes I did it's not coming out the weep hole it's on the upper shift shaft.

    Did you assemble the drive properly with not binding?
    Alpha or alpha GEN II?
