    Default how do u adjust the shift cable on a 1979 mercruiser?

    the shift bracket is attached to the transom. How do i adjust the shift cable?
    1986 searay 268 weekender "lunasea" (current)
    1979 grady white 201 marlin (current)
    1991 seapro centra 190
