Engine Coupler 1997 Mercruiser 5.7 & Bravo III - Can It Be Upgraded To Later Version?

My 1997 Mercruiser & Bravo III engine/drive coupler has to be lubed every 50 hours of use, outdrive has to be removed to do it, it's a real pain (Thanks for the great design Mercury).

Can this coupler be replaced with the 1998 and later engine/drive coupler that has grease fittings attached to it?
