How do you disconnect driveshaft from power head on top. Book states you remove screw at bottem of engine on lower half of pan. All I see is bolt that goes into a nylon cam uNder the carBs. Is this what the book is REFERING TO.

what you are looking for is the retaining screw on the shift cam located in the bottom of the pan.once you have that removed proceed to the lower unit bolts. once they are out you'll be able to separate the lower unless the shaft is rusted into the powerhead-hopefully not ! This is another good reason to service the lower once a year so when you need to get it apart-it will come apart !
