Default 2002 Mercruiser 5.0 EFI Cool fuel water drain

Hi, I have a 1998 Searay Express cruiser with a 2002 Mercruiser 5.0 EFI (Quicksilver Reman) , Anyway, I just drained all the water out (2 Block drain plugs, 2 Exhaust manifold plugs, Pwr Steering cooler plug), I'm now reading that there may be a 6th plug to drain the "cool fuel" system? Can someone verify this?

    Thanks

There wasn't a drain on my 1997 5.7 LX EFI Gen + Bravo.

Cool Re: 2002 Mercruiser 5.0 EFI Cool fuel water drain

I have a 99 Larson 206LXi 5.0L EFI and mine has the drain/blue plug on the cool fuel pump/fuel pump. It is almost impossible to see on my boat and very difficult to get to. I find it easier to pull the hose on the front to drain it when I winterize. For good measure I poor AF down the hose from the top.

I opened up the black plastic casing that covers the Fuel filter/Water seperator and I cannot find any water hoses, there are just fuel hoses.

Some don't have drains, just remove the water hose from the cooler and let it drain.

Oh wait, not that I see that photo, my 1997 did have one. It looked exactly like that.
(I don't know what I was thinking that was the drain for?)

Hmm stupid me I already pulled the plug and drained that. I thought that was the Power steering drain. I ended up pulling the hose because I snapped the top part of the blue plastic plug and the other half still remains screwed into that copper pipe. Anyone know how to remove that? Im not going to woory about it until spring, its too cold out. hmmm now I have to find the Pwr steering drain....

There is no clamping force in the threads. It will practically fall out of there when you start turn the screw driver.
