Has anybody ever replaced the fuel sending unit on an older 237 Sundeck? Do the universal units work as well as the originals? I can hardly even see the thing through the only access there is, which is from the inside bulkhead under the rear seat. I can reach it with some difficulty with one...
On my 237 sundeck there is a oil fill on the dash for the hydraulic steering. Since the manual doesn't even mention it does anyone know what type of fluid to use and how I will know when its full?

Recently my gas gauge became stuck on full except when I turn off the power. I suspect the sending unit might be the problem but I cant figure out how to get to it. I only see one access hole on the deck and that one just gets me to the hoses to the tank.
The boat is a 2000 237 sundeck.
