    89 300hp,tach don't work,alrady replaced rectifier

    Tach don't work. Replaced rectifier. Read alot of serches. Next step is stator. Disconnect yellow wires and should be 20 plus AC volts? Motor runs well and is charging. Boat is 250 miles away from here. Trying to go prepaired. Any suggestions? Tom

    no purple wire on new rectifier,tach don't work

    1989-90hp- 2cyls no spark

    Have search and read many pages of NO SPARK Trigger voltage should be 4vt, it's 2vt. Trigger ohms should be 1100-1400 or 11 to 14. my auto ranging DVM says 1.2 to 1.3 K ohms. Is this a correct reading? Stator test Blue lead to red lead (low speed) ohms should be3.6 to 4.2, meter says...

    89,90HP,3 cyl-oil injection pump

    Motor sat for ten years. Just did carbs and fuel pump and replaced oil lines. Fired off and runs great. But no oil being pulled into pump. Disconnected linkage on oil pump and advanced it. It sucked oil pretty good. Tried it again a week later, will not pull oil no matter what I do. Is there...
