    mercuriser no power

    i have an older mercuriser not sure of the year. had to change out the water impeller due to overheating not sure how many times it was over heated was bought from someone who didn't know much about the boat the boat will run great on muffs but as soon as it hits the water it backfires out of...

    mercruiser not running right(1960's?)

    ok i just got my boat running from the help of this site and now took it out on the water and no power i tried everthing not too sure if it the timing thats out or what it is. it will back fire when starting bit not running and the only way the boat will stay running is with the fast idel up...

    mercruiser has no spark

    just bought an older boat with a 140 hp mercruiser the motor turns over great but i have no spark i changed out the coil and tested it with a test light and both sides of the coil light up, also changed out the points, and yet still no spark. is there something i m missing i have two wires...
