I have a chaparral 2001 with a mercruiser 5.7 EFI. I can run the boat for most of the afternoon pulling daughter tubing, shutting off occasionally, and then at some point the boat will not start. Seems to be getting fuel but won't start. I can let it sit for about an hour to 1 1/2 hours...
