You know, you are all right- computers are great when they work and this is just a computer. I work for a company the sells new ambulances and remounts and repairs older ones. Back in the 80's, they were controlled by wires, relays and such- mow they are computer screens, some still had the...
I gave a 2005 270 I/O rinker express cruiser. Someone I guess needed my dash with all my gauges worse than I did. The harness/wires behind the dash were all cut. What a mess. So that harness, is that a merc harness from the motor to the gauges or do the boat makers create that harness? Rinker is...
Interesting...I'm in fl and don't see that temp unless it is dead of winter...how do higher Temps affect those numbers? 70 is a cool day here. I'm not sure how much I had...I pumped at least a half gallon of water and then said screw it and pumped it all out. I have a 100 gallon tanks, pumped...
I don't have another place to put one. I guess if you have that much water it has to be dumped and cleaned. Seems like the at least normal filter is a waste...
I buy with other filters and stuff in general, but I don't recall much over 15? But, there are overwhelmed easily- I recall on the 7.3 diesel it would not start until you drained it. And with bowl you could see it, unless it was just full of water I guess. Really worth looking into and really...
Hey Chris, I recall you were in the sub business? Hope all is well and thanks for your service!
That makes a lot of sense for what I experienced. I think my tank must have had enough water that it completely filled the filter so the water went right into the fuel rail/motor. I recall seeing the...
I replaced the lower shift cable only. It shifted smooth as butter before...it does not grind or anything but the handle works hard....
That tool is the tool I mention, but it only works if the other end of the cable is set right- which unfortunately it is not. Thanks for posting though!
I was kind of surprised with recent fuel problems with water, how little the separator stopped. There was also a concerning amount of garbage in the fuel- both making it into the fuel rail. I will for sure change every year and probably less hours if I get busy boating.
I guess the title is mis leading- I found after I put my outdrive back on without the proper adjustment it's hard to shift.
I recall on the bearing puller there was a way to set that end of the cable and then there is another tool to set the other end of the cable. I believe there was a work...
