    v4 looper carb function

    my 140 carbs have the low speed needle, idle and mid orfices, I'm still trying to get my head around how the transition from idle to main jet works on these. I think if I understand how the carb works I can sleep a little better...some of you probably understand that!

    Twin 1993 140 looper RPMs

    I've done tons of work, Carson reeds, new timer bases, rebuilt carbs, No VRO, runNing the house shaped pumps. Stbd motor is perfect, 6200 RPM max, Port motor gets to 5k and tops, though will turn 5500 trimmed up. it's a fishing boat so I'm not a speed freak, what I'm afraid is it straving for...

    1993 140 looper GEARS

    Have above Twins on 23 Formula, Wanted to see if anyone thought going to V6 gears is feasible, would love to get 30 cruise at lower than 5000 RPM , I know, I can go propeller route, but 17 pitch gives good bite and should keep load lower on shaft? Anyway, this is my sunday night ponderence. Thanks
