    to jb;<br /> Thanks for the reply. i have passed the information along to my son-in-law. from what you told me, it sounds like the neutral switch(just like on a car's transmission). The reason he changed the parts that he did, was because the dealer told him that was what was wrong. apparently...

    Evinrude 50 horse- won't start

    we have a 1982 50 horse evinrude motor that just won't start. have replaced the ignition coils with 2 new ones, also the plugs, new battery, and gas line- compression is real good, turns over fine but won't start. is there something that i've missed? Thanks
