My 150 HP Evinrude runs perfect between 3000 and 4000 RPM. When RPM's go over 4000 the engine cuts back and dies down I can go back to idle and start going again and as long as I stay under 4000 RPM it runs fine.
I removed the VRO from my 1984 150 hp evinrude and replaced it with 2 pre 1984 style fuel pumps. While running it with the water hose connected a buzzer started going off. Is this related to the VRO removal or is it another issue?
The engine sounds like it is runnining out of gas. I can get the boat on plane and run for about five minutes and then the engine bogs. I can pump the bulb and it will do the same thing again. I had someone pump the bulb while we were running and as long as he pumped the bulb every few minutes...
