Hey Folks, How do I get this off?
Seem to be able to tighten and loosen the bolt, but at a certain point it seizes up hard when loosening. is this rust or by design?
Anyone have any ideas? I see the kit I need on Amazon. Just want to compare prices to a brick and motor before pulling the trigger.

Picked up this motor recently and trying to connect the cables to it. I have figured out which is throttle and which is shift. I have them connected to the linkages. but for the life of me I can't figure out what secures the cables inside the cowling.

I seem to have a lot of play in the shift lever on my motor. Just wondering if there is a way to tighten it up? It can sometimes be difficult to know if im in neutral or gear on the shifter.

My motor always needs to be choked to start. I ran WOT for 20 minutes to make sure it was full temp. Shut it off, chug chug chug chug. close the throttle and vroom! then open the choke back to auto and off we go.
I should mention i get healthy RPM (4800) at WOT, I can Idle at 3km/h...

i had the motor off my boat over the winter. took the controls off the boat as well and put them in the garage. got around to re-assembly and this time the throttle is very hard to move up and down.
i have two separate levers, one for the shifter and one for throttle. shifting still feels...
